We are still trying to recover from all the amazing fashion that walked the red carpet
last night at the annual Met Gala.

This years theme of China: Through The Looking Glass did not disappoint!
We saw everything from short Chinese inspired gowns to over the top dramatic head pieces
that made us start thinking of ways we could possibly wear one.

It was so hard to try and narrow down our favorite gowns of the night,
but we think these five just completely knocked it out of the ballpark last night!

Wearing Chinese couture designer Guo Pei she won the Met Gala red carpet hands down!

    Kate Hudson

She looked like a Golden Goddess in this Chinese inspired Michael Kors gown

    Sarah Jessica Parker

The queen of the Met Gala red carpet wore a gown by H&M,
Yes H&M! However her headpiece was the main focus point of her look.
This is something only SJP could possibly pull off.

    Kerry Washington

Three words: Stunning in pink! This gorgeous gown was Prada.

    Lilly Aldridge

The Victoria Secret's angel look elegant and sophisticated in this ruffled Caroline Herrera gown.
Can we just add how good her dark lip color looks!

Only 364 more days till next years gala!

For the 2015 Met Gala, Anna Wintour decided to go to the East.
The theme of “China: Through The Looking Glass” gives gala attendees endless options

"Serena" Premiere - 58th BFI London Film Festival

Come on everybody knows JLaw will be gracing the Met Gala in Dior.

    Met Gala

Fashion and celebrities collide together in a yearly event known as the costume Institute
gala or simply the Met Gala. In which they can help spread artistic knowledge by the proceeds
benefiting Metropolitan Museum of Arts Costume Institute. Vogue's editor-in-chief
Anna Wintour is the creative genius behind the lavish event. With this years
Gala approaching DearMissJ wanted to share our top five looks from the previous years.

    1. Sarah Jessica Parker in Oscar Del Renta

Can SJP do no wrong? We could have easily just filled this list with all Sarah Jessica Parker looks.
This black & white gown she wore for the 2014 gala is now even more iconic with
the passing of the great Oscar Del Renta.

    Sarah Jessica Parker

    2. Suki Waterhouse in Burberry

The British model truly looked like a princess with this blush Burberry gown.
The ruffles give the gown the perfect feminine touch.

    Suki Waterhouse

    3. Beyonce in Givenchy

This is a dress that only Queen B could pull off.
It is a dark and edgy dress that was perfect for the theme of Punk.

    4. Jennifer Lawrence in Dior

Whenever Jennifer Lawrence wears Dior she tends to turn heads and this was no exception.
We absolutely love this tea length dress that definitely stood out among all the floor length gowns.

    Jennifer Lawrence

    5. Blake Lively in Gucci

Blake looked like straight out of Hollywood’s golden age.
We are big fans of any dress with a cape accent!( ex Gwyneth Paltrow at the Golden Globes)

For our next post we will be predicting what we want to see our favorite stars
wear to this years gala, which is just round the corner.
This years theme is China: Through The Looking Glass, so the possibilities are endless!
